Our role.
The Loan Yard provides general educational information for consumers and businesses. We do not make loans, underwrite applications, determine credit eligibility or promise an approval, rate, funding date or savings. This version does not collect applications or arrange financing. A mention of a provider does not establish a partnership with that provider.
Affiliate relationships and compensation.
No paid lender placements or affiliate referral links are active in this version. Links to official resources and named provider examples are unpaid. If affiliate relationships are added, we may receive compensation for eligible referrals or completed transactions under the partner’s terms.
Paid relationships will be disclosed close to the relevant offers and links, rather than only on this page. Sponsored placements will be identified. We will explain any effect of compensation on placement or ranking when presenting offers. The site does not cover every lender, product or financing alternative.
Terms and eligibility.
Availability, permitted uses, credit checks, collateral, fees, rates and approval decisions depend on the lender or finance provider. Consumer and commercial financing can have different requirements. Always review the current provider disclosures and identify whether the agreement is a loan, lease, credit line or another financing structure.
Payment estimator limitations.
The estimator models equal monthly payments on a fixed-rate installment loan, using the amount, annual interest rate and term you enter. The interest rate is not necessarily the APR. A selected origination fee is assumed to be deducted from proceeds, rather than added to principal.
It excludes other fees and charges and does not model variable rates, deferred interest, promotional payoff conditions, lease residuals, balloon payments, staged draws, seasonal schedules or tax benefits. Rounding and lender payment conventions can change actual figures. Examples are not market-average costs or available offers.
Collateral and personal guarantees.
Read the agreement to understand what secures the financing and who must repay it. Home equity financing is secured by your home. Equipment agreements may create equipment liens or require personal guarantees. A loan in a company’s name does not by itself remove an owner’s personal obligation.
Independent purchase decisions.
Financing approval does not validate a contractor’s repair recommendation, a machine’s condition or the value of a purchase. Obtain appropriate inspections, written quotes and contracts. This content does not provide individualized financial, legal, tax or engineering advice.
Sources and corrections.
Guides link to sources where appropriate and show review dates. Information can change after publication. Check current provider terms and use official program administrators for assistance eligibility. Use our Contact Us form to report a correction.
